Our client, a growing agribusiness enterprise, is seeking a strategic and experienced
Farm Manager
to lead and oversee livestock and crop production across multiple parcels of land.
This role is pivotal in driving efficient, sustainable, and profitable farm operations through strong leadership, sound financial management, and effective supervision of both livestock and crop activities.
Key Responsibilitie
s
Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across dairy, beef, and goat operations.
Oversee all crop farming activities, including hay, maize, and wheat cultivation.
Implement cost-effective and sustainable agricultural practices to improve productivity and profitability.
Develop and enforce operating procedures and schedules for all farm operations.
Prepare and manage budgets, monitor costs, and work towards financial independence from other group businesses.
Supervise, train, and motivate farm staff to deliver on set production and operational goals.
Maintain infrastructure, equipment, and ensure effective use of farm assets.
Regularly report on performance, risks, and progress to the Managing Director.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agribusiness, or a related field.
Experience in large-scale livestock and crop farming, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of dairy production, beef cattle management, and crop cycles.
Demonstrated experience in financial planning, farm budgeting, and reporting.
Proven team leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently.
