Fail-loud policy
If the provider call fails, the JSON cannot be parsed, or required fields are missing, the correct behavior is to stop and abstain. The system is not designed to invent a cleaner answer for the sake of continuity.
Structured decision log on your disk
Every run appends a line to structured_<date>.jsonl with the symbol, action, confidence, entry, stop, take-profit, risk-reward, and reasoning. Daily rotated, line-delimited JSON, plain text — open it in any editor.
Where to find itLive mode is gated by a setting you control
settings.json has an explicit live_trading_enabled flag. Until you set it to true and confirm during onboarding, the engine refuses to send orders to a live account — and logs the refusal.
