Job Summary:
Unity Homes is seeking a dynamic and experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Trainer to design, develop, and deliver comprehensive safety training programs across our construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess training needs and develop organization-wide HSE training plans, materials, and presentations for weather days and stand-downs.
Conduct engaging safety training sessions tailored for site workers, technical engineers, and senior management.
Ensure adherence to statutory legal frameworks (OSHA 2007, WIBA 2007, NEMA, NITA) and ISO management standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Lead incident investigations and foster a proactive, psychologically safe culture focused on near-miss reporting and risk mitigation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience managing HSE training in construction or oil and gas.
IDIP or IGC NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent minimum qualification).
NITA registered/approved trainer with Train-the-Trainer accreditation.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Certified Auditor in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 Integrated Management Systems.
