About the project & context
Livestock production is vital to the livelihoods and food security of millions of people across Africa, particularly inKenya’s arid and semi-arid areas. However, unsustainable livestock systems contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, ecosystem degradation and biodiversity loss.

LiveSys works with key global, regional and national stakeholders to strengthenfinancing and policy instrumentsthat enable sustainable livestock transformation, in partnership with organisations includingAU-IBAR, ILRI, CGIAR partners, the African Development Bank, World Bank and IFAD.
