Job Objective
We are seeking a forward-thinking, industry-connected, and student-centric lecturer in information communication technology. The ideal candidate has demonstrated the capability to bridge industry and academia, and their duties and responsibilities are as below:
Duties and responsibilities
Teaching cybersecurity & digital forensics-related course units as allocated by the Chair of the Department.
Designing, developing, planning, and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
Delivering high-quality lectures.
Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and the development of research activities.
Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.
Seeking and participating in consultancies.
Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
Disseminating research outputs.
Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
qualification and experience
A minimum of a relevant PhD, Master's and Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity/digital forensics or a relevant field from an accredited and recognised university.
At least 3 years of teaching/research experience at the university level as a Lecturer/ Research Fellow.
Has evidence of publications as a Lecturer/Research Fellow.
Supervised at least two (2) postgraduate students to completion.
Attracted research funds.
Has evidence of attending and contributing to academic conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Is up to date with industry standards.
Is a member of a relevant professional body.
Minimum qualifications
BA/BSc/HND , MBA/MSc/MA , PhD/Fellowship
