Overall purpose of the job:
Working under the supervision of the Laboratory in-charge, the successful candidates will perform diagnostic laboratory tests and scientific investigations to support accurate medical diagnoses.
Key responsibilities:
Collect, register, and analyze patient specimens within approved testing protocols.
Timely and clear reporting of test findings to clinical staff and patients.
Maintain strict quality control by using proper reagents, calibrating equipment, and keeping workspace hygienic.
Prepare routine diagnostic and operational laboratory reports.
Engage actively in internal Quality Assurance (QA) routines and update quality logs accurately.
Position requirements:
Education: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science.
Licensing: Valid registration certificate from the KMLTTB (Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a clinical laboratory setting.
Competencies: Proficient computer skills, strong customer care capabilities, self-motivated, collaborative, and professional inter-personal demeanor.
