Our client, a leading dealer in construction and heavy machinery equipment, is seeking to recruit a
Parts Manager
for their Kampala office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Parts P&L, overseeing the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of parts policies and procedures, and leading the training and development of parts personnel to ensure optimal efficiency levels are maintained. The role will also involve conducting regular inspections of systems, methods, documentation, equipment, and parts operations to uphold high performance and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conducts regular parts inspections and ensures the proper and efficient implementation of stock control policies and procedures.
Investigates pilferage and fraudulent activities with the objective of eliminating malpractice within the Parts Department.
Implements robust stock control systems and carries out periodic assessments to identify training needs for parts personnel.
Plans, coordinates, and supervises periodic parts management strategies to drive operational effectiveness.
Reviews parts operations and procedures to ensure compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Evaluates and enhances systems within parts operations to strengthen overall performance.
Key Qualification
A relevant Bachelor’s degree is required
Proven experience in heavy commercial parts is essential.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a dealership environment is required; agricultural (Agri) experience will be an added advantage.
Previous experience representing the
CASE
or
New Holland
brand will be a significant advantage.
Strong knowledge of heavy commercial parts operations, including team management, parts warranties, and stock control is required.
Demonstrated leadership experience with exceptional organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with strong strategic planning and development capabilities.
Strong customer service orientation with a focus on quality standards.
