Can you turn field survey data into fibre network designs that are practical, accurate and ready for implementation?
We’re looking for a Planning Engineer to support fibre network planning and design across FTTx, FTTH, backbone and metro deployments, working closely with project and implementation teams.
Your focus will be on:
Conducting physical surveys, assessing route conditions and identifying optimal fibre routes
Developing HLD and LLD designs for FTTx, FTTH, backbone and metro networks
Preparing BOMs, BOQs and as-built documentation
Producing network layouts, duct and pole plans, splice diagrams and other key design documentation
Assessing route feasibility, risks, wayleaves and infrastructure constraints
The experience you\’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geospatial/GIS Engineering or a related field
At least 3 years’ experience in fibre optic planning and design
Hands-on experience with FTTx/FTTH and GPON
Proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS/survey tools such as Google Earth Pro, SW Maps or similar
Experience preparing BOMs, BOQs and as-built documentation
Valid driving licence is a must
Fibre optic/network design certification and experience with QGIS, ArcGIS or Global Mapper are added advantages
