The Project Officer will be responsible for:
Supporting coordination of county-level activities and stakeholders in both Kakuma and Dadaab.
Supporting stakeholder mapping and engagement to identify key actors, influence, power dynamics,and opportunities for building coalitions for education reform.
Supporting coordination of participatory processes for co-creating education systems- strengthening strategies, action plans, and change pathways with stakeholders.
Implementing activities in accordance with GCN policies, partner requirements,
Contributing to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Maintaining an organized system for filing and retrieving financial records and supporting documents. safeguarding standards, and relevant government policies and frameworks.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or any other related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in the NGO sector.
Ability to engage effectively with communities and stakeholders.
Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to engage and mobilize diverse groups of community members and stakeholders.
Strong facilitation skills, including familiarity with training in participatory methods, and excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with significant experience working with children affected by crisis/conflict .
Commitment to human/children’s rights and an understanding of rights-based approaches and their application.
