About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing construction company specializing in waterproofing, renovations, repairs, remodeling, and general construction works, for a competent and hands-on Quantity Surveyor.

The successful candidate will play a key role in project costing, tender preparation, site assessments, contract administration, cost control, and project monitoring.

This opportunity is ideal for a practical Quantity Surveyor who can confidently move between the office and construction sites and understands how accurate costing directly affects project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, quotations, and tender documents.

Conduct material take-offs and develop project budgets.

Conduct site visits, measurements, assessments, and project evaluations.

Monitor project costs against approved budgets.

Evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Track project variations and prepare valuation reports.

Monitor project progress, costs, and profitability.

Prepare weekly and monthly project cost reports.

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Support project managers with resource planning and cost control.

Prepare tender submissions and contract documentation.

Assist with contract administration.

Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and project teams.

Attend project meetings and professionally represent the company.

Maintain accurate project and cost records.

Provide management with timely project costing and performance insights.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Economics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

At least 3 years practical experience in construction projects.

Proven experience preparing BOQs, quotations, cost estimates, and tender documents.

Practical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project costing.

Experience in waterproofing, renovations, repairs, remodeling, or general construction will be a strong advantage.

Ability to independently conduct site assessments and project costing.

Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience using Quantity Surveying or construction-related software is an advantage.
