QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Gender and Development studies, Anthropology Social Work,Psychology, or a related field.
A master's degree is an added advantage
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct (issued within the last 6 months).
At least 5 years of experience in safeguarding, child protection, or related roles, with experience in the education or development sector being highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding standards and best practices, including child protection, gender-based violence, and vulnerable adult protection.
Experience in designing and delivering safeguarding training for diverse audiences
Ability to identify and assess safeguarding risks, with strong problem-solving skills
Knowledge of the National Child Protection laws, Policies, and Frameworks in Kenya and International Safeguarding Standards
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels
Strong organizational and report writing skills.
Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and representation skills.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in working with various databases as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Good organizational, analytical, and programmatic reporting skills.
Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, and execution skills and the ability to take accountability for results and achievement of objectives.
