Nexus Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing retail and online business specialising in home appliances, kitchen products and home solutions, for an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager – Retail & Online Sales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the sales function across physical retail and online channels, driving revenue growth, improving conversion, managing the sales team and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Experience selling home appliances, kitchenware, cookware, electronics, home goods or related products will be a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage and motivate the retail and online sales team to achieve agreed sales targets.
Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue across showroom, online, WhatsApp and other digital sales channels.
Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales performance against targets.
Drive conversion of walk-in customers, online enquiries, calls, WhatsApp leads and other sales opportunities.
Coach sales staff on product knowledge, selling techniques, customer engagement and closing.
Ensure the team understands and effectively communicates product features, benefits, pricing, promotions and warranty information.
Monitor customer enquiries and ensure timely follow-up to maximise conversions.
Identify opportunities to increase average order value through upselling, cross-selling and product recommendations.
Analyse sales performance and identify areas requiring improvement.
Develop initiatives to improve customer acquisition, repeat purchases and customer retention.
Work closely with marketing and online sales teams to convert campaigns and digital enquiries into sales.
Monitor competitor activity, market trends and customer buying behaviour.
Ensure effective merchandising and presentation of products within the showroom.
Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure appropriate resolution.
Maintain high standards of customer service and professional conduct across the sales team.
Prepare regular sales performance reports for management.
Participate in recruitment, onboarding, coaching and performance management of sales staff.
Ensure compliance with company sales procedures, pricing policies and internal controls.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
A minimum of 3 years experience managing sales in a retail environment.
Proven experience leading and managing a sales team.
Demonstrable achievement of sales targets and revenue growth.
Strong experience in customer-facing retail sales.
Experience with home appliances, kitchenware, cookware, electronics, home goods or related products will be a significant advantage.
Experience managing online, WhatsApp or digital sales channels is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of sales conversion, customer follow-up, upselling and cross-selling.
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify revenue opportunities.
Good analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to coach, motivate and hold sales teams accountable for results.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven retail environment.
Proficiency in common sales, POS, CRM and digital communication tools will be an advantage.
