Our client, a leading and innovative avocado producer in Kenya, is seeking to appoint a

Senior Finance Manager

for their farm in Ndabibi in Naivasha.

The successful candidate will oversee the company’s financial planning and reporting functions. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, along with at least 10 years of progressive experience in finance. This position reports to both the Group CFO and the General Manager.

Key Requirements

Financial Planning & Strategy: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support strategic decision-making.

Reporting & Performance Analysis: Prepare monthly financial and cash flow reports, while analysing avocado sales, harvest data, and overall business performance.

Operational & Packhouse Oversight: Monitor expenditure, drive cost efficiencies, and evaluate the performance of the packing facility.

Accounting & Audit: Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, management accounts preparation, and coordinate the audit process.

Systems & Process Improvement: Support the implementation and optimization of the ERP system, while strengthening financial processes and controls.

Leadership, Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Develop and mentor the finance team, partner with senior management and shareholders, and ensure strong governance and compliance standards.

Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field, with a professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA).

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance, including at least 3 years in a similar leadership role.

Strong systems capability, including advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and accounting software.

Prior experience in agriculture, retail, or distribution is an added advantage.

Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, act independently, and uphold high levels of integrity.
