Internship/Volunteer Duration:
Six (6) Months
Successful interns and volunteers who demonstrate commitment, professionalism, and outstanding performance will receive a Certificate of Internship/Volunteer Service and be given priority consideration for future employment opportunities at Girwa Radio as positions become available.
Key Responsibilities
Present news bulletins professionally and accurately.
Research, write, edit, and translate news stories.
Conduct interviews and gather news content.
Prepare breaking news updates.
Observe journalism ethics and editorial standards.
Participate in field reporting when required.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
Fluency in Dholuo is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Kiswahili and English is an added advantage.
