Role Description
The Surveillance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Accra, responsible for overseeing all surveillance operations within the gaming and entertainment facilities. This role includes monitoring live and recorded video feeds, identifying suspicious activities, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations, and protecting company assets, guests, and team members. The Surveillance Manager will lead and coordinate the surveillance team, assign shifts, review incident reports, and provide coaching and performance feedback. The role involves collaborating with operations, security, and compliance teams to investigate incidents, support audits, and refine surveillance procedures and controls. The Surveillance Manager will also maintain surveillance systems, ensure accurate documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of risk management and operational standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the casino surveillance department, ensuring comprehensive monitoring of all gaming and non-gaming areas.
Supervise, train, and evaluate surveillance personnel, maintaining high standards of professionalism, efficiency, and confidentiality.
Monitor table games, slot machines, cash handling areas, and other critical casino operations to identify irregularities, suspicious activities, and potential security risks.
Detect, investigate, and report incidents involving fraud, theft, cheating, collusion, procedural violations, and other irregularities.
Ensure compliance with internal casino policies, gaming regulations, and established surveillance procedures.
Conduct detailed reviews of CCTV footage, prepare incident reports, and maintain accurate surveillance records.
Work closely with Casino Management, Security, Gaming Operations, and other departments to strengthen operational controls and minimise risks.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve surveillance procedures, reporting systems, and departmental performance standards.
Ensure the effective operation, maintenance coordination, and appropriate use of surveillance equipment and monitoring systems.
Maintain strict confidentiality and professional integrity in handling sensitive information and investigations.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Surveillance Manager within a casino or gaming establishment.
Extensive knowledge of casino operations, including table games, slot machines, gaming procedures, and cash handling controls.
Strong understanding of casino surveillance systems, CCTV technology, incident investigations, and fraud prevention.
Demonstrated experience managing and developing surveillance teams.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify suspicious activities and operational irregularities.
Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, 24/7 casino environment.
High levels of professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, and personal integrity.
Good command of written and spoken English, including the ability to prepare clear and detailed investigation reports.
Previous experience in a large-scale or international casino operation will be considered a strong advantage.
