Technical Sales Manager (Healthcare) – Nairobi at Summit Recruitment and Search

The ideal candidate MUST be a commercially driven and technically strong IVD sales professional with solid experience in laboratory products, a proven track record of growing sales and developing new business, and the ability to build strong relationships with laboratories, hospitals and key healthcare stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and grow the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) and laboratory business by identifying new customers, market segments and business opportunities.

Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations and customer training, while providing technical solutions based on laboratory needs

Build and maintain strong relationships with laboratories, hospitals, healthcare institutions and key decision-makers.

Work with the Sales and Marketing team to develop IVD sales strategies and participate in customer visits, exhibitions and conferences.

Monitor customer needs, competitor activities and emerging laboratory requirements, providing relevant market intelligence to management.

Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets while actively managing and following up the sales pipeline through to closure.

Prepare regular sales reports and maintain accurate records of customer engagements, quotations, opportunities and sales activities.

Key Qualifications:

Diploma/Bachelors in Medical Laboratory Technology/Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.

Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).

Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in IVD sales, preferably at Sales Manager or senior sales level.

Proven track record in IVD and laboratory product sales.

Experience in technical presentations, product demonstrations and business development.

Strong communication, negotiation, customer relationship management and commercial skills.
