Temporary Lead Facilitator- Focus Group Discussion

Responsibilities

Support the preparation and facilitation of focus group discussions with caregivers and caregiver circle facilitators in accordance with the approved discussion guide.

Create a respectful, inclusive, and neutral environment that encourages participants to share their views openly.

Take comprehensive notes and accurately document key discussions, observations, participant responses, and emerging themes.

Obtain informed consent and audio-record each session while maintaining confidentiality and following ethical data-collection procedures.

Transcribe the recorded discussions accurately and, where required, translate the qualitative data without changing its meaning.

Review, organize, label, and securely submit complete session notes, recordings, consent records, and transcripts within the agreed timelines.

Support any other emerging roles from the field

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

At least two years of demonstrable professional experience in community-level health promotion, health facility–level service delivery, and/or collection and analysis of data from health service providers and caregivers.

Prior experience in collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data is essential.

Ability to work with various technologies (computers, mobile phones, etc.) and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills in English. Fluency in Dholuo is essential.
