Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have: -
Degree in any of the following disciplines: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Information Communication Technology or
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
Should have a background training in Competency-Based Education (CBET)
An applicant in possession of Pedagogy and TVETA Registration and Licensing will have an added advantage.
Demonstrated competence in ICT instruction, practical training, and learner assessment.
Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
One who is reliable and of high integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Undertaking training in areas of specialization in accordance with the syllabus.
Preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work.
Setting and marking examination/assignment.
Supervision of trainees on attachment.
Instructing, guiding and evaluation of trainees in practical exercises.
Reporting progress and overall performance of individual trainees.
Participating in development of curriculum and training programmes.
Undertaking/ carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer.
Deliver competency-based training in ICT programmes.
Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment materials.
Maintain training records and workshop/laboratory equipment.

There are two (2) Trainer positions available in the ICT Department. Candidates will be considered separately based on their academic qualifications. One (1) position is reserved for a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree, while the other is reserved for a candidate with a Diploma Certificate. Applicants are encouraged to apply for the position that matches their qualifications.
