For appointment to this grade, an applicant MUST: -
Motor Vehicle Mechanic National Trade Test Certificate Grade III with proven practical Experience of three years as Motor Vehicle Mechanic III
KCSE Mean Grade of D+(Plus) or its equivalent
Or
Relevant Preliminary Level Apprentice Certificate awarded by the Directorate of industrial Training with a proven practical experience of three years as Motor Vehicle mechanic III
Or
Relevant preliminary level certificate awarded by the kenya institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBIT) with proven practical experience of three years as Motor vehicle Mechanic III
A valid driving license.
