Aftersales Trade Developer – Automotive-Limuru

Salary: KES 20,000 Retainer+ Commission

Job Purpose

Our client is seeking a proactive, results-driven Aftersales Trade Developer to drive sales growth within the automotive aftersales market. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, developing customer relationships, increasing sales of vehicle parts and services, and supporting dealership performance within an assigned territory.

The role will involve working closely with dealerships to enhance customer satisfaction, improve vehicle uptime, identify new business opportunities, and achieve revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Revenue Growth

Drive sales of automotive spare parts and aftersales services across assigned dealerships.

Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets through effective territory planning and execution.

Identify new business opportunities and convert prospects into customers.

Monitor sales performance and recommend strategies to improve revenue and product penetration.

Support the development and achievement of annual territory sales objectives.

Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and dealership teams.

Gather customer feedback and communicate new products, parts, and services.

Maintain accurate customer records and adhere to CRM procedures and planned customer visits.

Escalate customer concerns promptly to the relevant dealership representatives.

Reporting and Performance Monitoring

Track and report daily sales performance against targets.

Analyse monthly sales trends and market performance.

Prepare weekly performance dashboards and regular territory reports.

Develop action plans to address sales gaps and improve performance.

Market Intelligence

Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market developments.

Identify customer needs and recommend suitable automotive parts and services.

Provide market insights to support sales planning and business growth.

Marketing and Market Activation

Plan and execute field marketing activities, including roadshows, market activations, and promotional campaigns.

Generate leads and increase awareness of available automotive products and services.

Support initiatives aimed at expanding the customer base and increasing sales.

Qualifications and Experience

A diploma or degree in any relevant field. A qualification in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage.

Minimum KCSE mean grade of C-.

At least one year of experience in outdoor sales, marketing, promotions, merchandising, or brand ambassador roles.

Knowledge of motor vehicle spare parts and aftersales services will be an added advantage.

Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and build customer relationships.
