The ideal candidate must be proficient in architectural design, space planning, floor plans, elevations, 3D modelling and rendering, with the ability to contribute to technical and construction drawings.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can move confidently between architectural design, interior design, visualisation, documentation, research and other project-related responsibilities.

We are particularly interested in someone who is results-oriented, self-motivated, solution-focused, easy to work with and committed to continuous growth.

The successful candidate must be comfortable receiving feedback, making corrections, learning new methods and adapting quickly to the evolving needs of the Studio.

As this is a remote position, the candidate must also demonstrate excellent communication, personal discipline and the ability to deliver high-quality work without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Design & Space Planning:

Develop functional, thoughtful and well-resolved architectural floor plans.

Produce accurate elevations, sections and architectural drawings.

Translate project briefs and design concepts into practical spatial solutions.

Develop layouts that respond to site conditions, climate, user needs and project requirements.

Participate in concept development, schematic design and design development.

Review and improve existing designs to achieve better functionality and spatial quality.

Interior Design:

Develop interior layouts, furniture arrangements and spatial concepts.

Produce interior elevations, detailed layouts and design presentations.

Support material, finish, colour, furniture and lighting selections.

Develop interior design solutions that balance functionality, comfort, aesthetics and durability.

Prepare drawings and documentation required for interior project execution.

3D Modelling, Rendering & Visualisation:

Produce accurate and well-developed 3D architectural and interior models.

Create high-quality renders that clearly communicate design intent.

Translate 2D drawings into detailed 3D models.

Produce multiple design options and visual studies when required.

Revise models and renders efficiently based on feedback.

Maintain consistency between drawings, models and final design presentations.

Technical & Construction Documentation:

Prepare and support the development of architectural working drawings.

Produce dimensioned floor plans, elevations, sections, schedules and construction details.

Assist with interior joinery, furniture, ceiling, flooring and other detailed drawings.

Coordinate drawings with project requirements and relevant consultants.

Identify and resolve inconsistencies between design drawings and technical documentation.

Support the preparation of drawing packages for construction and site execution.

Research & Design Development:

Conduct research on architecture, interiors, materials, construction methods and climate-responsive design.

Explore relevant precedents, design solutions and emerging technologies.

Contribute ideas that improve design quality, functionality and project outcomes.

Apply research findings to real project challenges.

Project Execution & Remote Collaboration:

Take ownership of assigned tasks from briefing through completion.

Work across different stages of architectural and interior design projects.

Collaborate remotely with designers, visualisers, researchers, construction personnel and other team members.

Participate in virtual design reviews, project meetings and presentations.

Attend physical project meetings or site visits when specifically required and agreed.

Communicate progress, challenges and proposed solutions clearly and promptly.

Maintain organised project files and ensure drawings and deliverables are uploaded to designated shared platforms.

Meet agreed deadlines while maintaining accuracy and design quality.

Support other reasonable project-related responsibilities as Studio priorities evolve.

Performance Expectations

The successful candidate will be expected to:

Deliver assigned tasks within agreed timelines.

Produce accurate, well-presented drawings, models and renders.

Work independently without requiring constant supervision.

Respond promptly and constructively to feedback.

Demonstrate continuous improvement in speed, technical skills and design quality.

Maintain professional conduct and effective communication.

Identify problems early and contribute practical solutions.

Adapt to changing project demands and Studio priorities.

Take responsibility for the quality and completion of assigned work.

Maintain accurate, organised and up-to-date project files on the Studio's shared platforms.

Participate consistently in scheduled virtual meetings and design reviews.
