Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant’s menu and required standards.
Ensure food is consistently well-prepared, fresh, and attractively presented.
Plan and organize daily food preparation and kitchen activities.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.
Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
Manage and monitor kitchen supplies, ingredients, and stock levels.
Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Coordinate with kitchen assistants and other restaurant staff to ensure smooth service.
Ensure kitchen equipment and work areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
Assist with menu development and suggest new dishes where required.
Monitor food costs and use ingredients efficiently.
Ensure all meals are prepared and served within the required time.
Comply with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field is an advantage.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef or in a similar kitchen role.
Proven experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
