Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Collections Specialist with at least 1 year of collections experience or proven collection and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, reducing aged receivables, maintaining positive customer relationships, and ensuring timely payment of outstanding balances.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Contact customers via phone and email regarding past-due balances.
Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts effectively.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies that may delay payments.
Accurately document all collection activities and customer communications.
Collaborate with internal departments, including Billing, Sales, and Customer Service, to resolve account issues.
Escalate delinquent accounts when necessary and support legal collection processes.
Meet or exceed collection targets and key performance metrics.
Provide regular updates on account status and collection progress.
Minimum qualifications
BA/BSc/HND
