Job Purpose
The Head of Sales is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies that drive student enrollment, increase revenue, expand market reach, and strengthen MedPrime Training College\'s position as a leading healthcare training institution. The role provides leadership to the sales team, ensures achievement of admission targets, develops strategic partnerships, and delivers exceptional customer service throughout the student recruitment process.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement annual and quarterly student recruitment strategies.
Prepare sales forecasts and enrollment projections.
Develop initiatives to increase applications and admissions.
Identify new markets and recruitment opportunities.
Recommend strategies for revenue growth.
Student Recruitment
Lead recruitment campaigns targeting prospective students.
Drive enrollment for all academic programmes.
Monitor inquiries, applications, and conversion rates.
Ensure prospective students receive timely and accurate information.
Improve conversion from inquiries to enrolled students.
Sales Team Leadership
Recruit, train, coach, and supervise the sales team.
Set individual and departmental sales targets.
Conduct regular performance reviews.
Motivate staff to achieve agreed objectives.
Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
Business Development
Establish partnerships with schools, hospitals, NGOs, county governments, churches, youth groups, and community organizations.
Identify corporate sponsorship and scholarship opportunities.
Build relationships with education agents and referral partners.
Represent the college at exhibitions, education fairs, and career events.
Marketing Support
Work closely with the Marketing Department to develop recruitment campaigns.
Provide market intelligence on competitors and industry trends.
Recommend promotional activities to increase visibility.
Support digital marketing initiatives that generate qualified leads.
Admissions Support
Ensure smooth coordination between Sales and Admissions.
Monitor the admissions pipeline.
Ensure timely follow-up with prospective students.
Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Reporting
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.
Present enrollment performance to management.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Analyze recruitment data and recommend improvements.
Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with prospective students and parents.
Ensure excellent customer experience throughout the recruitment journey.
Resolve escalated customer complaints.
Promote the institution\'s values and reputation.
Compliance
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with institutional policies and applicable education regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of student information.
Uphold ethical recruitment practices.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Commerce, or a related field.
Professional qualifications in Sales, Marketing, or Customer Relationship Management are desirable.
Experience
Minimum of two (2) years\' experience in sales or business development.
At least one (1) year in a managerial or supervisory role.
Experience in higher education, training institutions, healthcare, or service industries is an added advantage.
Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving sales target.
