We are looking to recruit a Dental Laboratory Technician with
a
minimum of three years of practical experience in both digital and conventional
dental laboratory workflows
.
Technical skills and experience
The ideal candidate should
demonstrate proficiency in the following areas. Please indicate each
candidate’s strongest competencies and any areas requiring further training:
·
CAD/CAM:
Design of crowns, bridges, veneers and implant restorations using
exocad or 3Shape; nesting, milling and finishing.
·
Dental 3D printing:
File preparation, printer operation, washing, curing and finishing
of models, surgical guides, splints and denture components.
·
Zirconia restorations:
Single crowns and multi-unit bridges, including sintering, ceramic
layering, staining, glazing and polishing.
·
Ceramic and metal-ceramic
restorations:
IPS e.max, porcelain layering and
finishing of crowns and bridges.
·
Removable prosthetics:
Complete and partial dentures, tooth arrangement, acrylic
processing, finishing, repairs and relining.
·
Implant prosthetics:
Implant crowns, custom abutments and full-arch restorations,
including All-on-X.
·
Other appliances:
PMMA provisional restorations, night guards, occlusal splints,
clear aligners and cast metal partial denture frameworks.
·
Conventional laboratory
procedures:
Model pouring and trimming, die
preparation, articulation and diagnostic wax-ups.
·
Quality assurance:
Assessment of marginal accuracy, fit, proximal contacts,
occlusion, shade and aesthetics.
·
Equipment care:
Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
and production processes.
Candidates should be capable of
managing cases independently, interpreting dental prescriptions, communicating
effectively with dentists and delivering consistent quality within agreed
deadlines.
Selection process
Shortlisted candidates will
undergo a formal interview and a practical examination covering both digital
and manual laboratory procedures. Final selection will depend on demonstrated
technical competence, quality of work and professional suitability.
Salary and employment terms will
be agreed according to the selected candidate’s experience and assessed
capabilities.
