Duties and responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will be on-the-job training and will work under the Supervision of an experienced officer. Duties and Responsibilities will entail:- simple maintenance of fire-fighting appliance and assistance during emergency cases
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade 'D' PLAIN or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
Fireman II certificate from a recognized fire service Training school.
First Aid certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John's Ambulance or Kenya institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution;
Be physically fit
Be certified medically fit by a Government Doctor
Have a Certificate in computer applications skills.
(Driving Certificate, diving and rescue skills will be an added advantage)
