Graduate (Junior Female Electrical Engineer) - Technical Services

Nexus Staffing Solutions Limited is recruiting on behalf of its client, a company operating in the electrical engineering and power solutions sector, for a motivated, ambitious and technically competent Graduate/Junior Electrical Engineer to join its Technical Services Department.

The successful candidate will support technical operations, engineering assignments, equipment design, technical documentation and project-related activities while gaining practical industry experience.

The position offers structured mentorship and professional development under the guidance of an experienced engineer within the Technical Services Department.

Roles and Responsibilities

Support the preparation and review of electrical engineering designs, drawings and technical specifications.

Assist in the design, selection and technical evaluation of transformers, switchgear, Ring Main Units (RMUs), LV panels and other electrical equipment.

Provide technical support to production, projects and technical service teams.

Assist in interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and engineering specifications.

Participate in equipment inspections, testing, troubleshooting and technical assessments.

Support the preparation of technical proposals, reports, bills of quantities and project documentation.

Coordinate with production, project and other technical teams to ensure compliance with engineering requirements.

Conduct technical research and provide recommendations for product improvement, operational efficiency and cost optimisation.

Undertake other engineering assignments as may be assigned by the department.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Registered as a Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK), or eligible for registration.

Approximately 0–2 years of relevant experience. Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude may be considered.

Basic knowledge of electrical equipment, power systems, electrical drawings and engineering design.

Familiarity with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP or other relevant applications will be an added advantage.

Good analytical, problem-solving and technical report-writing skills.

Strong technical aptitude and willingness to develop practical engineering skills.

Good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Ability to progressively take ownership of assigned tasks.

Professional conduct, discipline, initiative and accountability.
