Job Description
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide technical assistance and support to staff.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems.
Respond promptly to ICT-related complaints and service requests.
Guide staff on the effective use of computer systems and software applications.
Maintain records of technical issues and resolutions.
Data Management and Information Security:
Implement appropriate data protection and information security measures.
Perform regular data backups and ensure data recovery procedures are available.
Protect organisational systems against viruses, malware, and unauthorised access.
Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organisational information.
Network and Communication Management:
Maintain local area networks (LAN) and wireless networks (Wi-Fi).
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Support the organisation's email systems and digital communication platforms.
Maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and access points.
ICT Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain an updated inventory of ICT equipment and software.
Prepare periodic ICT activity and performance reports.
Document ICT procedures, configurations, and maintenance activities.
Monitor ICT equipment usage and recommend replacements where necessary.
Ensure proper documentation of software licences and ICT assets.
Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, servers, and other ICT equipment.
Monitor and maintain the organisation's computer systems and network infrastructure.
Ensure reliable internet connectivity and network performance.
Manage the installation, upgrading, and maintenance of software applications.
Ensure proper functioning of ICT equipment and systems.
