affordable and accessible to everyone.

Globally, 1

billion people need, yet cannot access, corrective eyeglasses, making it the

largest unmet disability in the world. East Africa is home to 50 million of

these people. For example, in Kenya 7.5 million people need eyecare, yet only

1.6 million can visit an eyecare provider. This results in over 75% of cases of

vision impairment being preventable. This is made worse as even low-quality

glasses are expensive, costing more than USD 20.

This has a huge

impact on people’s lives. Vision is our most dominant sense. Without glasses it

is challenging to earn an income, learn or live a quality life. It also hinders

all development agendas governments and agencies may have. A student without

glasses is 3x more likely to fall behind! Simply wearing glasses improves

incomes by 18%, meaning people do not rely on others for daily tasks - which

reduces exposure to financial theft and fraud.

Our solution is

a revolutionary, award winning, design of eyeglasses frame and testing process

that can be done without a vision care specialist. Dot Glasses distributors can

provide eyeglasses for only USD 5 on average. The testing and assembly for each

client is done instantly within 5 minutes. The glasses are sold through a

diverse network of distribution partners in 12+ countries.

to scale up and looking for an experienced person to join our team and

accelerate our growth.

What we are looking for you

The Inventory

Assistant will be responsible for the efficient and accurate management of our

company store, ensuring products are properly received, stored, packed, and

dispatched to clients. This role is crucial in maintaining inventory accuracy

and supporting our commitment to timely customer deliveries. The successful

candidate will play a key role in optimizing our store operations and upholding

our high standards of organization and cleanliness.

Store Organization

& Maintenance: Maintain the company store in a highly organized,

clean, and safe manner at all times. This includes proper shelving,

labelling, and arrangement of products to optimize space and

accessibility.

Inventory

Management:

●

Accurately receive, inspect, and document

all incoming goods, ensuring they match purchase orders and quality standards.

●

Keep meticulous store records, both

physical and digital. This includes diligently maintaining and updating

inventory records on Zoho Inventory in real-time.

●

Conduct regular stock counts and

reconcile discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.

●

Identify and report any damaged,

defective, or expired goods.

Packing & Dispatch:

●

Efficiently and accurately pack products

according to client orders, ensuring proper packaging materials are used to

prevent damage during transit.

●

Prepare necessary documentation (e.g.,

dispatch notes, invoices) for outgoing shipments.

●

Coordinate with logistics partners for

timely and accurate dispatch to clients.

Order Fulfilment: Assist in the picking of

products for sales orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Security: Maintain security of the

store by following established procedures and reporting any suspicious

activities.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with

other departments, particularly sales and account management, to ensure

smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and suggest

improvements to store processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and

effectiveness.

supervisor.

Diploma in Supply Chain Management,

Procurement, or related field.

●

Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Store

Assistant, Inventory assistance or similar role.

●

Strong understanding of inventory

management principles and best practices.

●

Attention to detail and high level of

accuracy.

●

Proficiency in using inventory management

software; experience with Zoho Inventory is a significant advantage.

●

Ability to work independently and meet

deadlines.

●

Ability to lift and move heavy objects as

required.

●

Strong sense of responsibility and

integrity.

affordable eyeglasses to be sold/distributed to communities around the world.Over 1 billion

people globally need, yet cannot access, prescription eyeglasses. For example,

of the 7.5 million Kenyans who need eye care, only 1.6 million are able to visit

an eye care provider. This is made worse as even low-quality glasses can cost 20

USD. The impact of this is enormous. Without glasses it is challenging to earn

or learn. A child without glasses is 3x more likely to fall behind at school!Through developing

a revolutionary design of eyeglasses and simplifying our lens concept, our

distributors around the world are able to provide eyeglasses for 3-7 USD. The

testing and assembly for each patient is done on-site within 5-10 minutes,

without needing a vision care specialist. The glasses are sold through a diverse

network of distribution partners in 6+ countries; predominantly Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Nepal and South Africa.
