About the role
We are looking for a qualified, inspiring and dynamic Music Teacher to join our Junior School team (Grades 1-6), building a strong culture of music and the arts among young learners.
Responsibilities
● Plan and deliver engaging music lessons in line with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC)
● Teach at least one core instrument (piano, keyboard or guitar) to junior-level learners
● Direct the school choir and other ensembles
● Prepare learners for school events, concerts, and music festivals
● Assess and report on learner progress
● Nurture creativity, confidence and a love of music in young learners
Qualifications
● Diploma or Degree in Music Education
● Valid TSC registration number
● Experience teaching music to Grades 1-6
● Proficiency in piano, keyboard or guitar
● Working knowledge of CBC
● Excellent communication and presentation skills
● Passion for music and arts development in children
