Main Duties:
Responsible for preparing the room and equipment for patient examinations.
Taking x-rays/performing radiological examinations as prescribed by a medical practitioner.
Assisting the radiologist perform special examinations e.g. barium meals.
Processing x-ray images, documentation and dispatching.
Ensuring that examinations are carried out in consistency with the procedure protocols,
patient conditions, physical abilities and age requirements
Maintaining a radiological register of patients.
Maintaining the consumables register
Participating in the planning and execution of the department CME
Providing image intensifier services when required
Providing radiographic services in Cath-lab.
Required Qualifications for the Position
Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or BSc Radiography.
One (1) – Three (3) years working experience.
Registered and licensed by the Kenya Nuclear Radiological Authority (KNRA).
Registered, up to date member of the Society of Radiography Kenya (SORK).
Hands-on experience in MRI and CT
