Job Summary
A reputable cashew processing and manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and technically competent Mechanical Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of factory machinery and production equipment.
The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience with cashew processing or agro-processing machines, with a good understanding of machinery manufactured in Vietnam and China. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal machine performance, minimising downtime, and maintaining efficient factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of mechanical equipment used in cashew processing and other agro-processing operations.
Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimise equipment breakdown and production downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical faults and ensure prompt resolution of machine-related problems.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of cashew processing machinery, including shelling, peeling, drying, grading, and related production equipment.
Understand the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Chinese and Vietnamese-manufactured agro-processing machines.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all factory machinery.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanical maintenance technicians and other engineering personnel.
Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Manage maintenance materials, spare parts, tools, and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with factory safety standards and proper maintenance procedures.
Requirements
BSc/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum of 5–8 years' relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing, cashew processing, or agro-processing environment.
Practical experience with cashew processing machinery is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of Chinese and Vietnamese agro-processing machines, including their operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Proven experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown management, machine installation, and repairs.
Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and supervise technical maintenance teams.
Good leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment.
Minimum qualifications
BA/BSc/HND , MBA/MSc/MA
