Music Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching Music at all levels (Basic to JHS)

Teaching all relevant areas of the music curriculum

Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and practical music lessons for learners of varying abilities

Training and directing the school choir for assemblies, programs and competitions

Teaching basic musical instruments (keyboard, drums, recorder etc.)

Organizing the music room and learning resources to create a positive learning environment

Creating attractive and educational classroom displays

Preparing, assessing, and marking students’ work to support academic development

Motivating pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching methods

Maintaining discipline and ensuring effective classroom management

Working independently with minimal supervision

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of Diploma or Degree in Music, Music Education, or related field

At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience

Strong instrumental skill (ability to play keyboard will be an advantage)

Good singing, communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills

Ability to work independently and effectively

Passion for working with children and promoting musical talents
