Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
Diagnose and manage common eye conditions and visual disorders within scope of practice.
Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses where necessary.
Perform visual acuity tests and other relevant diagnostic procedures.
Identify eye conditions requiring specialist referral.
Provide counselling on eye health, hygiene, and preventive care.
Monitor patients' eye health and treatment progress.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of optometric equipment.
Promote eye health awareness and participate in vision screening programmes.
Adhere to professional standards, clinical protocols and organisational policies.
Requirements:
Minimum of a BSc qualification
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
