Duties and responsibilities: -
Interpreting radiology images of orthopedic and trauma cases;
Manipulating and reducing fractures and dislocations;
Fixing and removing casts, bandages and tractions to and frompatients;
Counselling patients/clients on issues regarding orthopedic trauma;
Correcting Congenital Talipes Equino-Varus (C.T.E.V);
Documenting orthopedic and trauma case
Assessing and referring patients with Musculo-skeletal conditions
Participating in the management of minor orthopedic and trauma cases in emergenciesandaccidents;
Cleaning and treating simple wounds resulting from orthopedic trauma;
Making follow-ups of orthopedic and trauma cases in the wards and out-patient clinics.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma in Orthopedic Plaster Technology or Orthopedic and Trauma medicine fromarecognized institution
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
Registration by a professional body
Valid practicing license
