PPI LTD is seeking a competent and results-driven Project Mechanical Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects, particularly in piping, mechanical installation, fabrication, and industrial plant projects.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate engineering design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities.
Manage and supervise piping and mechanical installation projects at industrial plants and project sites.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure proper project execution.
Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material requirements, technical documentation, and project reports.
Plan and monitor project activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Supervise contractors, welders, fabricators, technicians, and other site personnel.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, and equipment requirements.
Ensure all project activities comply with approved engineering specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
Identify and resolve technical and site-related challenges during project execution.
Conduct site inspections and ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, procedures, and project standards.
Maintain proper project documentation, records, and progress reports.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Relevant experience in piping, mechanical installation, fabrication, or industrial plant projects.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
Good understanding of project execution, site supervision, and contractor management.
Ability to prepare BOQs, material take-offs, and technical reports.
Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Knowledge of HSE and quality requirements in engineering/project environments.
Proficiency in relevant engineering/project management software will be an advantage.
Minimum qualifications
BA/BSc/HND
