The RC and Diamond Driller is responsible for operating and maintaining drilling equipment in the mining pit, ensuring safe, efficient and accurate drilling operations to support exploration and production activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and control RC and Diamond drill rigs (surface or underground where applicable).
Ensure accurate drilling as per geological and operational requirements.
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on drilling equipment.
Monitor and report on drilling progress, fuel and consumables usage.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Work closely with the site team, geologists and supervisors to achieve production targets.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience as an RC and Diamond Driller in an open-pit mining environment (preferred).
Valid and relevant drilling operator certification (if applicable).
Knowledge of drilling equipment and maintenance procedures.
Understanding of safety regulations and environmental standards.
