Security Controller-Nairobi M/F

Mission Description

Based in Nairobi and reporting to the Security Manager-Kenya, the role exists to safeguard Company and Client assets, personnel, visitors, and facilities by implementing and overseeing security operations, maintaining effective access controls, conducting risk assessments, investigating incidents and ensuring compliance with established security policies and procedures organization.

The deliverables of the role will be to:-

Conduct security risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation measures

Prevent theft and damage to Company and Client property

Ensure regular rotation of sub-contracted security guards.

Ensure all reported incidents are logged on the occurrence book and reported to the relevant person and proper action taken

Lead incident investigations, liaise with the local police on any alleged intrusion into the premises or company/client cargo and follow up with the case to conclusion

Ensure all security procedures are followed by all employees and Clients within the premises

Ensure all access points and control rooms are properly manned

Manage CCTV, alarms, and access control systems and ensure all security gadgets/tools/equipment are in good working condition

Maintain records of all main door keys and ensure safe custody of the same.

Ensure all items leaving the premises are accompanied by the relevant authorization documents and gate pass.11

Manage subcontracted Security Company on site.

Train employees on security awareness and procedures

Profile

Diploma in Security Studies or equivalent

3 years hands on experience in a busy environment with Warehouse and transport operations
