Responsibilities
Ensure the safety and security of learners, staff, visitors and school property.
Monitor access to and from the school premises and maintain appropriate visitor controls.
Conduct regular patrols of the assigned areas.
Report suspicious activities, security incidents, hazards or breaches promptly.
Maintain accurate security records, including visitor and incident registers.
Enforce school security procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Safeguard school property and ensure that unauthorised persons do not gain access to restricted areas.
Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of a relevant secondary school qualification.
Previous experience in security work will be an added advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physically fit, alert and disciplined.
High level of integrity, confidentiality and responsibility.
Ability to remain calm and professional when handling challenging situations.
Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures will be an added advantage.
