SENIOR SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT OFFICER GRADE E/F – REF: MNUC/PROC/SSCMO/001/2026

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities at this level will entail: –

Assisting the Procurement Officer;

Preparing tender documents;

Secretariat services to the tender opening and technical evaluation committees;

Secretariat services to procurement committees;

Preparing periodic procurement reports;

Participating in technical and financial evaluation of tenders;

Handling queries from both internal and external customers;

Implementing provision of the Procurement manuals;

Conducting market research and surveys of goods and services;

Providing input in preparing specifications;

Ensuring safe custody of stores;

Disposing unserviceable, obsolete and surplus stores and equipment for disposal;

Participating in quality management and performance contracting processes; and

Issuing of stores to users.

Job Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have: –

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Purchasing and Supplies Management, Procurement and Supplies Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce (Supplies Management Option), Business Administration (Supplies Management option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution;

Cumulative service period of six (6) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Supply Chain Management Officer I or in a comparable position;

Relevant technical and professional certification from a recognised institution; and

Registered with a relevant professional body.
