Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive, organized and eager-to-learn Stores & Procurement Intern to support our stores and procurement functions while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with receiving, checking and recording incoming goods.
Support proper storage, organization and identification of stock.
Assist in issuing and recording materials and equipment.
Maintain accurate stores and inventory records.
Support stock counts and inventory reconciliations.
Assist with preparation and filing of procurement documentation.
Support supplier communication and follow-up on orders and deliveries.
Assist with obtaining quotations and preparing procurement comparisons.
Support purchase order and delivery documentation processes.
Assist in monitoring stock levels and identifying replenishment requirements.
Perform other stores and procurement duties as assigned.
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Purchasing & Supplies, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
Basic understanding of procurement, inventory and stores management principles.
Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and follow established procedures.
Demonstrated willingness to learn and take initiative.
Minimum qualifications
BA/BSc/HND
