The swimming coach is responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating swimming training programs that promote water safety, skill development, fitness, and competitive excellence among students.
Responsibilities
Teach swimming lessons to students across different age groups and skill levels.
Develop structured swimming lesson plans.
Train students in basic swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety.
Support beginner swimmers to build confidence in water.
Assess student swimming abilities and monitor progress.
Provide guidance and encouragement to help students improve their skills.
Identify talented swimmers for competitive training.
Prepare students for inter-school swimming competitions.
Organize swimming practice sessions and training programs.
Promote participation in school swimming programs.
Ensure all students follow pool safety rules.
Supervise students at all times during swimming sessions.
Respond appropriately to emergencies in the water.
Ensure proper use of swimming equipment.
Work closely with the Sports Department to plan swimming activities.
Maintain attendance and progress records for students.
Assist in organizing swimming events and school sports days
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors or Diploma in Sports Science or Physical Education(preferred)
Certified Swimming Coach Certification from a recognized sports body or federation
Experience in a school or educational setting a plus
First Aid & CPR certification preferred
