Key Duties and Responsibilities
Install, service and repair split, cassette and other air-conditioning units and related ventilation equipment.
Carry out preventive maintenance, including cleaning filters and coils, checking drainage, inspecting electrical connections and testing system performance.
Diagnose faults involving compressors, motors, thermostats, control boards, refrigerant circuits and other system components.
Check refrigerant levels and pressures, identify leaks and handle refrigerants using approved tools, procedures and environmental safeguards.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns, prioritizing issues that affect customers, staff, stock or business operations.
Maintain service reports, job cards, equipment histories, spare-parts records and details of work completed.
Follow electrical safety procedures, use appropriate personal protective equipment and keep work areas safe and tidy.
Escalate major faults, recurring failures and replacement needs; coordinate with approved contractors where necessary.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
Technical/vocational qualification or recognized training in refrigeration and air-conditioning.
Practical experience in installation, servicing and repair of commercial or residential AC systems.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret basic wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
Reliable, safety-conscious and customer-service oriented; willing to travel between assigned sites and work outside normal hours when required.
Location: North Industrial Area(Tema)
Salary: GHC 1,500- 4,000 Net
