Role Description
The Assistant Accountant role at Auldon Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Lagos.
The role involves supporting daily accounting operations, including posting transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable.
The Assistant Accountant helps prepare financial reports, reconciles bank statements, and ensures accurate documentation of inventory and sales.
This position also supports month-end and year-end closing activities, assists with budget tracking, and collaborates with the finance team to ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations. T
he role requires regular coordination with store operations and customer service teams to ensure that financial records reflect business activities accurately and on time.
Qualifications
Strong foundational accounting skills, including bookkeeping, ledger management, and basic financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP or POS systems) and comfort working with numerical data.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within set deadlines.
Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with finance, operations, and customer service teams.
Understanding of basic tax, compliance, and internal control principles relevant to retail or FMCG environments.
Relevant academic background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certificates or ongoing studies in accounting are an advantage.
Previous experience in an accounting or finance support role, preferably in retail or a similar fast-paced setting, is beneficial.
