About the Role
Octagon Africa is seeking a proactive, results-driven Business Development Officer to drive business growth, identify new market opportunities, build strong client relationships, and support sales and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow revenue and market share.
Execute sales, marketing, and digital marketing initiatives.
Build and maintain strong client relationships and improve customer retention.
Conduct market research, prepare business proposals, and deliver client presentations.
Support client onboarding, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with company policies, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
At least 3 years’ experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related field.
A diploma in Insurance or Pensions is an added advantage.
Knowledge of financial services, retirement benefits schemes, or investment accounting is desirable.
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word. Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Solid understanding of pension schemes is desirable.
