River Haus is hiring! We are looking for talented, passionate, and dedicated culinary and bakery professionals to join our growing hospitality team in Accra, Ghana.

River Haus is a hospitality and dining concept connected to BaseNord, a premium business and coworking hub in East Legon, Accra. Together, we bring business, hospitality, food, and community together in a welcoming environment.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their craft, value quality and consistency, and are passionate about creating exceptional food experiences for our guests.

Positions Available1. Executive Chef

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daily kitchen operations.

Develop menus and ensure high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.

Supervise, train, and coordinate kitchen staff.

Manage food costs, inventory, purchasing, and portion control.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Maintain consistency across all dishes and kitchen operations.

Minimize food waste and promote efficient kitchen practices.

Requirements

Proven experience in a senior culinary or executive chef role.

Strong leadership, menu development, and kitchen management skills.

Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.

Ability to manage costs, maintain quality, and lead a team effectively.

Creativity, discipline, and a strong commitment to culinary excellence.

2. Baker

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and bake breads, pastries, and other bakery products.

Follow recipes and maintain consistent quality and presentation.

Measure ingredients accurately and manage baking schedules.

Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely.

Monitor ingredient stocks and communicate purchasing needs.

Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety procedures.

Contribute ideas for new bakery products.

Requirements

Previous experience in baking or a professional bakery environment.

Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.

Strong attention to detail and time management.

Ability to maintain consistent product quality.

Creativity, reliability, and a passion for baking.

3. Pastry Chef

Key Responsibilities

Create, prepare, and present pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked treats.

Develop recipes and contribute to menu planning.

Ensure consistency in taste, texture, quality, and presentation.

Manage pastry ingredients, stock levels, and production schedules.

Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen organization.

Minimize waste and use ingredients efficiently.

Develop new pastry concepts and seasonal offerings.

Requirements

Proven experience in pastry preparation or a professional pastry kitchen.

Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and dessert presentation.

Creativity and attention to detail.

Ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality.

Good organizational and teamwork skills.
