The Documentary Producer is a visual storyteller who translates complex, long-form investigations and human-interest narratives into high-impact, cinematic digital and broadcast documentaries.
Operating within our multimedia output wing, you will spearhead projects from concept, scriptwriting, and field shooting through to final post-production.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Production: Research, pitch, script, direct, and produce short-form and long-form investigative documentaries.
Newsroom Collaboration: Partner closely with investigative reporters and data journalists to adapt print/digital text pieces into visual narratives.
Post-Production Oversight: Direct video editors, sound designers, and motion graphic artists to maintain exceptional production value.
Platform Optimization: Format visual assets into platform-specific lengths, tailoring cuts for broadcast, streaming, and vertical social media video.
Requirements:
Experience: 6+ years of proven experience producing mini-documentaries or high-end video journalism for reputable media houses.
Skills: Advanced proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro), cinematography, field lighting, and dynamic narrative scripting. A strong portfolio or showreel is mandatory.
ASSOCIATE POLITICAL EDITOR
The Associate Political Editor helps drive our high-profile political coverage by managing a network of political correspondents and analysts. You will look past political theater to focus on policy impacts, election integrity, and power structures, ensuring our political desk remains competitive, fair, and authoritative across print, web, and broadcast mediums.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Desk Management: Help plan and execute the daily political diary, ensuring comprehensive coverage of government, elections, and policy changes.
Analytical Editing: Edit fast-paced political news, analytical opinion columns, and deep-dive investigative explainers.
Requirements:
Experience: 15+ years of active political reporting or editing experience, with an impressive track record of political scoops.
Skills: Expert knowledge of the local and national political landscape, unwavering adherence to journalistic neutrality, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Source Cultivation: Maintain and leverage a premium network of contacts within legislative, executive, and civic circles.
