Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company vans, exhauster trucks, and light trucks as assigned, ensuring compliance with road safety regulations.
Transport employees, goods, materials, and equipment to designated destinations in a timely and secure manner.
Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any mechanical faults or maintenance requirements.
Ensure the safe handling, loading, transportation, and offloading of goods and equipment.
Maintain accurate vehicle movement records, fuel consumption logs, mileage records, and trip documentation.
Adhere to traffic laws, company transport policies, and occupational health and safety requirements.
Maintain the cleanliness, proper care, and general roadworthiness of assigned vehicles.
Qualifications and Requirements
KCSE Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Valid driving licence with the relevant endorsements for the assigned vehicles, particularly Classes B, C1 and C, as applicable.
Class D1 endorsement where the assigned van is classified for passenger transportation.
At least 2–3 years of proven driving experience.
Demonstrable experience operating vans, light trucks, and specialised vehicles, particularly exhauster trucks, will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of road safety regulations, defensive driving, and basic vehicle maintenance.
Must possess a clean driving record and demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and professionalism.
