The Material / Store Keeper manages the flow of materials, ensuring smooth production and operational processes. This involves ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as tracking inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records. They act as a crucial link between suppliers, production teams, and management, facilitating the timely procurement and distribution of necessary resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Monitoring stock levels, determining when to replenish materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Material Handling:
Receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and supplies.
Coordination:
Ensuring materials are delivered to the appropriate workstations or departments, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and communicating with vendors and suppliers.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking shipments, and preparing reports on inventory levels and deliveries.
Quality Control:
Verifying materials received from vendors, inspecting for quality, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality assurance standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
Organizational and Time Management Skills:
Essential for managing inventory, coordinating deliveries, and meeting deadlines.
Communication Skills:
Required for interacting with vendors, suppliers, and various departments within the organization.
Attention to Detail:
