Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pelletizer Machine Operator to join a plastic recycling company in Atan, Ogun State. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring pelletizing machines used in processing recycled plastics into quality plastic pellets.
The ideal candidate must have practical experience in plastic recycling operations, machine handling, production monitoring, and quality control, with the ability to ensure efficient production while maintaining safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor plastic pelletizing machines used in recycling and processing plastic materials.
Set up, adjust, and control machine parameters to ensure efficient production and consistent pellet quality.
Monitor the feeding, melting, extrusion, cooling, and cutting processes during production.
Ensure recycled plastic materials are properly processed into quality pellets.
Identify and troubleshoot minor machine faults, production irregularities, and operational issues.
Conduct routine machine inspections, cleaning, and basic preventive maintenance.
Monitor production output and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of production quantities, machine performance, and downtime.
Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished plastic pellets.
Adhere strictly to workplace safety procedures and operational guidelines.
Collaborate with other production team members to achieve daily production targets.
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of 2–5 years of practical experience operating pelletizing machines, preferably within a plastic recycling or manufacturing company.
Strong knowledge of plastic recycling and pellet production processes.
Practical experience operating and monitoring plastic extrusion and pelletizing equipment.
Ability to identify machine faults and carry out basic troubleshooting.
Good understanding of production quality control and workplace safety procedures.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physically fit, attentive to detail, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Relevant technical training or vocational qualification will be an added advantage.
